CELSI Researchers Drived Impact at International CSR Conference hosted by WageIndicator and FLAME University

CELSI researchers played a central role at the recent International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Decent Work, hosted by WageIndicator Foundation and FLAME University in Pune, India, offering valuable insights and expertise on critical topics in the field.

CELSI researchers were instrumental in driving discussions and sharing expertise at the International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Decent Work, held from March 21st to 23rd, 2024, hosted by WageIndicator Foundation and FLAME University in Pune, India.

The conference provided a platform for researchers to address key issues surrounding corporate responsibility and sustainable development.

Martin Kahanec, CELSI’s co-founder and director, and professor at Central European University, delivered a keynote address titled "From Numbers to Dignity: Empowering Global Communities through Living Wages," highlighting the importance and benefits of equitable remuneration practices.

Martin Guzi presented a paper co-authored with Martin Kahanec, Nina Holičková, and Nii Amanquarnor, focusing on methodologies for measuring Living Wages globally.

Marta Kahancová, CELSI’s co-founder and director, and associate professor at Comenius University, led a session on qualitative research methods and served as a discussant during sessions, providing valuable insights and facilitating discussions.

Nina Holičková chaired the session on gig and platform work, contributing to a robust exchange of ideas and methodologies.

With WageIndicators’ current general director Fiona Dragstra and former general director Paulien Osse, Martin Kahanec launched the Living Wage Monitor, a collaborative initiative aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in wage practices globally.

CELSI researchers' active involvement underscored their commitment to advancing research-driven solutions for promoting decent work and corporate social responsibility, setting the stage for future collaborations and initiatives in the field.
